✨Exploring the Journey of Gold – From Discovery to Gold Bars West Coast Fever’s visit ✨

We had the incredible opportunity to take players from Netball WA & West Coast Fever on an unforgettable trip to our Gold Road Resources Yamarna exploration camp and Gruyere mining operations (JV with Gold Fields) in remote WA. It was a chance to showcase the full journey of how we explore for gold, responsibly mine it, and safely process it into shiny gold bars!

We started at our exploration camp, where we uncovered the science behind gold discovery – diving into geology, mapping, and drilling techniques that guide our exploration efforts. We examined drill core at the core yard and learned how innovation drives our efforts including the use of our solar farm to power operations sustainably.

From there, we headed to the Gruyere Mine Site, where the scale of operations came to life! Standing at the edge of the open pit, seeing the massive haul trucks in action, and visiting the MACA Maintenance Workshop to understand the work that keeps these machines running was truly eye-opening.

A highlight of the visit was meeting our Gruyere Emergency Response Team (ERT) and seeing firsthand the dedication to safety that underpins everything we do. We also toured the Process Plant, gaining insight into how ore is transformed into gold bars, culminating in the exciting moment of seeing a gold pour – a true reminder of the hard work and expertise that goes into every ounce produced.

A huge thank you to our teams for sharing their knowledge and passion, and to Jess Anstiss, Alice Teague-Neeld and Sunday Aryang for joining us and fully immersing themselves in the FIFO camp lifestyle while withstanding some very very hot weather! 🌎⚒️
